Class Information
Beginners Upholstery Class
Cost: $500
Length: 5 weeks (15 Hours)
Class Size: Max 4 students
In our beginners class, you will complete two, instructor-designed projects that each teach fundamental elements of upholstery- a bag and a barstool or small ottoman you can provide from home. The skills you learn can be applied to larger projects in the future. No experience is required.
The class is very hands on. You will sharpen your measuring skills. You will learn to use an industrial, walking-foot sewing machine, pneumatic stapler, and other tools common to upholstery. You will install grommets, make piping, buttons, and more.
Beginners class sessions run on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings and Saturday mornings.

Runs Tuesdays from 6pm-9pm for five weeks. Next session begins September 22nd 2026
Wednesday Evening Session
Runs Wednesdays from 6pm-9pm for five weeks. Next session begins September 2nd 2026
Saturday Morning Session
Runs Saturdays from 9am-12pm for five weeks. Next session begins August 22nd 2026 (**note- no class 8/19, last class will be 8/26**)

Intermediate Upholstery Shop Time
**Available for established students who have completed the beginners class*
-Student provides their own project
-Student provides materials (or purchases from school at additional cost)
-Fee includes use of the shop: sewing machines, air compressor, tools, access to instructor assistance, and storage of your project
